Starter is working normal but car won't start, but on first attempt it seems to start but then loses power in few seconds

You have to have the numeric code it should start as "P" which stands for Powertrain.

OBDII scanners communicate with the Engine Control Module (ECM) to verify all the systems are ready to test. The system initial or name will flash to indicate that the system is not ready, and the smog test will fail or not be complete.

  • M = Misfire
  • F = Fuel System
  • CC = Comprehensive Component
  • HC = Heated Catalyst
  • C = Catalyst
  • EV = Evaporative System
  • 2A = Secondary Air System
  • O = Oxygen Sensor Heater
  • E = Exhaust Gas Recirculation
