How do i fix code P0440 on a 2003 chevrolet Trailblazer?

This condition can be more of a fault with the purge control circuit. There 2 possible cause for this a failing FTP (fuel tank pressure) sensor not reporting the true fuel tank pressure/vacuum condition. The fuel tank filler hose area has a small leak or the fuel cap. Check the purge for its vacuum connection a vacuum hose disconnected or leaking there will cause P0443 and P0440
