P0845 Nissan - Altima 2009

I have 2009 Nissan Altima. I were travelling on a speed of 160 KM/hr and suddenly my speed dropped to 135 KM/hr but engine RPM got increased from 3200 to 3700. this happen just for 5 seconds and then engine RPM also got down to 3400. after this I were not able to increase the sped, even engine rpm were going up.
I went to nearby workshop and after computer checkinh, technician told me about the fault code p0845 and advised to check with Transmission Technician.
Now the situation (after 10 days) is this, Car is not going above 120-125 KM/hr speed. I asked one workshop guy and he told me that, it looks like that Gear Box is having problem and we may need to change the Gear Box.
Please guide me accordingly.

Most likely the transmission needs to be replaced. Nissan has an extended warranty on the CVT transmissions to 10years or 100,000 miles. The dealer will replace it at no cost to you
