What do the engine codes P1176 and P1177 mean and are they fixed somewhat easily? I have a 2001 Volkswagen Passat 2.8L

P1177 False air

The fix is some what easy , this is a lean condition code, or a symptom, , what ususally cause this is false air, such as crankcase breather,, the oil dipstick  even the oil cap.
