I had the P1405 error code on my 2000 ford explorer. I changed the DPFE and the 2 hoses. The check engine light went off, then the next day it came back on. WHY?

Best answer
P1405 Differential pressure  feedback exhaust

The hoses that are on the DPFE are exhaust with this hose disconnected exhaust should be felt with engine running if its is not simply unplug it with a suitable probe, The EGR uses the exhaust back pressure to increase or decrease the exhaust gas recirculation valve
