The check engine light had turned on a while ago, checked the code, and it was the gas cap. Fixed it and moved on with my lift, without resetting the code so the check engine light was still on. Earlier this week I installed a sound system into my CR-V. I drove the car flawlessly to the store, and back then did the install of the stereo. I checked the stereo, and before I installed the amp/subs I moved the car into a less-hot area (Florida + Summer), and the car was 100%. I undid the battery, blah blah installed everything fine then proceeded to move the car back to the driveway. After starting the car, I noticed it was fine, then proceeded to place my food on the brake, and shift. At that moment I knew something was wrong when it felt like the car was about to jump out of its tires when shifting from P-R-N-D. Reverse doesn't have much of a jump, neutral barely has one, and drive has the biggest. When placing the car into 1st, or 2nd there is nothing in the slightest hinting at a problem. The car drives fine when placed into 1st/2nd and reverse. The idle is fine, and if you didn't know that it barely moves when you put it into drive you'd assume it was 100%.
Also, the code it was throwing, I checked after all this, was P0706. Apparently it was throwing it when I had the gas cap problem but I didn't catch it.

A video i filmed to show the jumps - video

A few other forums I visited to ask questions said it could be anywhere from a new transmission, to a fuse that needs to be replaced.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

P0706 is not used in the service manual for a 1999 Honda CR-V EX, I would suggest you use a different OBD-II reader, the one you are using may not be 100% compatible with your car.
