ford taurus 1999 3.0l evap system problem fixed , evap system wont show ready

car failed the e-test in Ontario because there was a leak in the evap system , fixed the problem and now the computer is showing evap system not ready. Have driven the car 720 kms, both hwy and city (120-130 kms an hr hwy) and (60 kms an hr ) city, and the system still won't reset. there are no check engine/ service engine soon lights on , and the car still wont pass, any advice on how to get the evap system to show ready for testing would be helpful,.......thanks

The evap system is the last to run , The 02 sensor monitor has to run first then the catalyst will run the last to run will be the EVAP sytem , if the catalyst has ran and passed on the next ignition cycle drive the EVAP will run. What was a practice back when these cars has a hard time setting monitor the 02 sensor where replaced, This was done just to get the monitor to set quickly and be over with the monitor quickly.
