I have a code P0343 on VW GTI. There is no spark and the engine will not start.

Question

I checked all the fuses and replaced the Cam Sensor. Also checked fuel pumps and fuel filter. The car doesn't start at all. when I turn the key all it does is turn.

P0343 Camshaft psotion sensor A circuit high input

The spark is controlled by the RPM sensor, even with P0343 the engine should still start,
