2001 pontiac grand am showing vacum leak code 442---no one can find it. Ideas?

Question

new gas cap put on, no loose or leaking hoses, exhaust ok. Passed emissions and safety check. Need check engine light off to get inspection sticker.

P0442 Evaporative emission small leak detected.

The problem with the Grand Am having P0442  is usually with the fuel tank O-ring. .The sealing area if that area is leaking fuel vapor over time it leaves a filmy gummy trail.
