Will this make the 2001 Honda Van cut off while riding down the road? It seems like the van is running out of gas, RPMs drop and the van eventually shuts off. After it cools down for 15 minutes, it starts back up and runs for another 15 miles and repeats the same problem.

Vehicle: 2001 Honda Odyssey, V6

P1259 VTEC oil pressure switch circuit or VTEC solenoid valve circuit

It only possible that it can do this. The only problem is if it is not the cause this code can a does suspend the real issue that causing the vehicle to cut off as the van is driven down the road. The purpose of the CK ENG LT is to protect the catalytic convertor and the catalytic convertor is to protect the enviroment. This driveability condition that the van has does not have to code up, another job of the ECM is to look for open circuit, short circuit grounds and rationality. With the VTEC having a circuit problem the ECM codes and may have suspended any drivabilty issue. This is the VTEC oil pressure switch, and here is the the solenoid valve.  The van cutting off while driving, and feels like its running out of fuel , this is a very intermittent condition, it is to your advantage that you replace the fuel pump relay also.
