P0502 Cadillac -Would replacing my engine cause this code to come up?

I got an engine put in my 2002 Seville STS and now the speedometer is not working and transmission is not shifting.

Vehicle: 2002 Cadi Seville STS 4.6L

the code is related to the vehicle speed sensor, check speed sensor and the connector to see if everything is in place
