P1420 2006 Toyota Highlander - Would this cause drive train issues or a hot water dashboard error?

Question

I'm driving on the highway 70-80 mph. I see a dashboard warning indicator for water temperature. I get off at the next exit (5 minutes). While driving the accelerator becomes very touchy (either no gas or I'm flooring it). It stalls out twice at lights while pulling the car over.

I just checked the codes and I get P1420 and P3191

p1420 could be a loose gas cap

p3191 comes on after you run out of fuel

reset both codes and see if they come back

you can try to clean the mass air flow sensor with mass air flow sensor cleaner

and you can go through diagnostic procedures below
