Can towing a 2004 Toyota Corolla from the back wheels cause transmission damage? my car was towed wrong, and they are saying it wasn't caused by them. How long does it have to be towed the wrong way for it to cause damage to my transmission?

If the car was not in gear (the car was in neutral) it should not cause any issues.
