C1218 - what to troubleshoot?

Text for this code is "Lamp ABS Warning Output Circuit Failure". And its the ONLY code in memory. The check engine wrench light may come on before leaving the driveway, or not until an hour of driving. I'm competent with a meter, but no clue what it REALLY means or where to start troubleshooting.
