would bad app sensor cause my car to feel like it is shifting up and down while running at 50 to 60 mph. I noticed that last week on my daughters car. almost felt like torque converted locking and unlocking without any pedal movement. Today she started from a stop and the car would only idle. she said several lights came on instrument cluster. luckily she was close to home and stopped. after restarting the car it drove fine. check engine light on. dumb me disconnected battery and cleared error. I read a lot online about app sensors causing similar problems. does this sound like app sensor. thanks

Shift up and down and running at 50 to 60 would be with the transmission TCC (Transmission torque convertor clutch) , When the car only idle and not move is more of the APP system and especially when the vehicle is shut off and restarted. then drive normally., You can not clear a code condition by disconnecting the battery what happens is you only clear the fuel trim. the code If the ECM sees a correction, it clear the code itself. The condition that happining can be something  contributing to P2138
