I need information on po308misfire code on 09 6.4 litre diesel

found oil fill adapter blown apart and missing 2and a half gallons of oil engine running rough and setting code po308 cylinder misfire detected machanicle failure

your car takes 15 quarts so if it was low 2.5 gallons that is 10 quarts low. its possible you might have engine damage.

how long did you drive before you saw there was an issue? if you fixed the oil fill adapter and added oil I would reset the code and see if it comes back.

I would start by checking compression on all the cyclinders.

If something hit is the oil fill adapter thats why it broke I would do an insurance claims if the engine is bad. if it not cheap to rebuilt or replace.
