I have a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado 5 cycliner and have a P0452 code. ALREADY TRIED THE GAS CAP BUT AFTER READING MANY FORUMS they all point to the sensor on top of the fuel pump, low pressure sensor. I don't want to just start replacing things because that get's expensive so tryig to gather as much info as possible. When I take off the gas cap I don't get and pressure release so I'm thinking maybe it's a leak in the evap system.

HELP!!!

Vehicle: 2004, chevrolet, colorado, I5

P0452 Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor

The condition for having this code is the FTP voltage is less than 0.1 volts for more than 5 seconds. A low voltage reading of the FTP signal the ECM of high fuel tank pressure. You may have other EVAP related code condition that the ECM suspended until this situation is satisfied. The FTP refrence voltage is part of a BUS circuit which shares its 5 volts refferrence to the MAP sensor , Throttle body, A/C pressure switch. If there is a short in any of these other sensor it can code P0452 also. The Evap vent solenoid is in a natural open position which draw  raw fuel emission into the canister. This can be why you do not have the pressure you are looking for.
