2002 HONDA ACCORD 3 L ----just did the timing belt and water pump, ended up taking off the upper intake and rocker covers more for curiosity than anything ... threw code "p0336" - put a new crank sensor in since I hadn't buttoned everything up and it was accessible, both before and after the new sensor the car started(s) fine (no hesitation) idles great, and revs normal .. until about 2800-3000 rpms ... then it acts like it's revving through a rev limiter (like if you floored it and it hit the rev limiter at 5 or 6000 rpms .....) .... been researching ... could it be related to intake?.. MAF .. anything else ? ...

P0336 CKP (crankposition sensor ) No signal.

Recheck the connection of the CKP. This code condition P0335 / P0336 usually is a non start conditon. If it idle great and no hesitation and revs normal. until 2800 - 3000 RPM . This engine does not use a MAF it is a speed density type, it uses a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor. If this was a intake vacuum leak at idle it would be rough and the idle speed high, Check these sensor for proper connection the TPS, the Cam sensor and MAP sensor. If there are no disconnection you will have to recheck the timing mark. Just bring the timing mark of the harmaonic balancer to TDC on the timing cover there is timing mark inspection ports that can be accessed.on both side of the timing cover
