Hello, so I'm getting this code P0014, and P0013 on my 08 Dodge caliber se 2.0 . I recently change the exhast camshaft solenoid and intake solenoid on this vehicle. Prior to this the car would not start. Now the car starts, but runs very rough and stahls after 15 seconds. This trouble all started with an alternator that was making a horrible nois a couple weeks back and left me stranded. When that happened the car wouldnt crank. Replaced the alternator, and belts. then the car cranked but would not start, replace the cam shaft sensors, and the car still would not start. Got a hold of a OBD reader and it gave me codes P0013 and P0014. so I replace the intake and exhaust solenoids. Turned the key and the car started, and ran very good. Took it for a spin , and it died a block from my house. Put the OBD scanner back on it and its still throwing me the two codes P0013 and 14. Dont know what to do anymore. Tried reseting the computer, by holding the battery cables together for 15 minutes. Nothings seems to keep the car running longer than 15 seconds. Not to mention it running rougher than ever. Can any one help Please. thank you.
start by replacing the oil and filter and using the correct oil weight.
the code you have is for bank 1 sensor 2
did you replace the camshaft sensor or solenoid they are two different things
the solenoid works on oil pressure and the sensor reads the postion
if the oil is dirty the solenoid might not work correctly. if you have not replace the oil in the last 4k miles replace the oil and filter.
you can also remove the solenoid and clean it with brake cleaner.
