how do I tell if my wiper motor is bad

my car was stuck in about 2ft of standing water and my wipers no longer work,I replaced the relay and nothing. How do I tell if the wiper motor is still good?

I would think there is corrosion in the wiring, unplug the wiper connector turn on the wipers and check to see if you can getting voltage to the connector if so the motor is bad.
