What are the engine codes P0171 and P0174 on my 2000 Lincoln LS?

HI there,

These codes mean the fuel mixture is lean on both bank 1 and bank 2 of the engine. The most common cause for this is either  a faulty mass air flow sensor or a problem with the fuel pump. You can also have an intake manifold leaking, but it's unlikely when you have this issue on both banks.
