po340 code on 2002 Mitsubishi eclipse gt v6 where is it located and how do i fix it

P0340 Camshaft position sensor circuit

The location of the camshaft position sensor , is integral part of the distributor.The distributor will need to be replaced , to install the distributor you set the engine to cylinder number 1 top dead center.(cylinder 1 is a its compression stroke and the timing cover pointer is at 0) You align the distributor and reinstall, From here check the timing use the underhood specification.
