P0496 EVAP emission high purge flow fault

In this condition the FTP (fuel tank pressure ) sensor has detected a unwanted amount of vacuum present in the fuel tank. This code always ends up being the FTP reporting incorrectly. It is rarely is the purge control valve. To replace this the FTP will need a replacement.The FTP is located on the fuel tank module
