What causes the misfire can be from the connection of the injector which is part of the valve cover,or the fuel injector itself , take the fuel injector out and move to a known working cylinder if the misfire moves replace the injector. If it stays the harness of the fuel injector or a mechanical condition exist. Misfire on Diesel are usually always the fuel injector.
