1997 Saturn SL2 1.9L with engine code P1599 and engine will not start

The vehicle will not crank under its own power. The starter solenoid wont even cycle. Then when jumped it will crank and sound like its firing but will not stay running.

Vehicle: 1997 Saturn SL2 1.9L

might be a bad PCM. I would start by checking fuses.

the PCM is under the dash board, the top of the dash board will have to be removed to get to it.
