My 2003 dodge stratus is showing codes p0440 & p0456. What do these codes mean?

P0456 Evaporative emission (EVAP) system pressure

P0440 Evaporative emission control system malfunction

The code you have is P0456 this is when the EVAP system which deal with the fuel tank there is a evaporative leak of fuel. This can be from a fuel cap not properly sealing, or any EVAP hoses which  job is to prevent fuel fumes from escaping  into the atmoshphere.This can be EVAP hose not sealing properly which tends to rot, make a visual at the emission EVAP hoses at the fuel tank that attaches to the charcoal canister.
