I changed the TPS on my Tundra with 4.7 V8 because I got a P1120 on computer. Now it runs fast and surges. A mechanic friend suggested I may need to change the Trottle Body! Ouch! Any alternatives? Truck has 170,000+ miles

P1120 Open or short in the APP sensor circuit

Runs fast and surges, Your out of adjustment. If the TPS is not at its proper opening angle. During installation of the TPS the APP connection is supposed to be disconnected. You need to recheck the throttle valve opening percentage. If it is out of adjustment this is what code and symptom you get.
