Problem with dodge magnum rt awd p0717

the car is a 2006 dodge magnum rt awd. the code came on and the transmission goes into limp mode at 50mph. what could this mean and how can i fix it?

P0717 Input speed sensor circuit no signal

This will cause you to go into a limp mode, there are 2 input sensor , which are fixed and pressed against the transmission housing, before replaceing check the harness for any open condition.
