will this cause a low engine power signal from the computer?

When the engine is cold it will loose power down to a idol and run erratic. On the instrument panel there is writing that says "low engine power" I can switch the engine off and it will crank up and run normal. Sometimes it will do it two or three times before it will start running normal. Can you help?

For this condition try a MAF (mass air flow) cleaning and a throttle body cleaning.
