It's possible if the car overheated, P0300 means Cylinder Misfire Detected Random Cylinders

Start by checking for intake leaks, intake gaskets are a common cause of multi-cylinder misfiring. If you have not replaced the spark plugs, you might want to start there. Also if you are using low octane fuel, I have seen this problem a lot. Use 91 octanes from Shell.
