2004 Toyota Avalon: Codes P0440 and P0446. Evap Sensor, Purge Sensor and Charcoal Cannister.
Is Evap Sensor & Purge Sensor code P0440?
And P0446 the Charcoal Cannister?

I recently had an accident where my car had damage on the drivers' front hood, and finder; could the cannister have been damaged? I had it out of the shop a week and the service engine light came on.

Would the 2004 Avalon have been covered as part of the recall when Toyota was covering these problems?

What would be an est cost for parts and labor for the above.

Vehicle: 2004, Toyota, Avalon XL 6 Cyl

the EVAP cannister is near the gas tank of the car, but there are hoses and solenoids near the engine bay that let gas vapors go throught to the inside the engine to burn.

I would take it to the place that fix that car and have them fix it. It is most likely caused by the accident.

there is also a possible chance the gas cap is bad, you can replace that yourself with a Toyota gas cap just to be sure its not the gas cap.
