how do I fix code p1404 in a gmc pu

My 2004 gmc 3/4 ton pick-up has the check engine lite on and reads the code P1404. My motor is diesel with a superchip towing program installed.

P1404 EGR position sensor

This code conditon is for the EGR The superchip not affecting this at all, As long as the exhaust system has no restriction you just replace the EGR valve.
