I have a 2006 Ford Escape registering a P0191 Fuel Rail Sensor Circuit Range/Performance code. I washed the car in a spray wash (that had an under carriage wash). Shortly after the wash, the car sputtered out and would not start back up. About 20 minutes later the car started and has been running fine but with the check engine light illuminated. Can anyone help me to locate the failed sensor? Or am I on the wrong path....? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The test results also indicate that the O2 Bank 2 Sensors 1 through 3 are "not ok".

HI there,

The fuel rail pressure sensor is mounted in fuel rail close to the fuel injectors. This won't affect the O2 sensors on the truck at all. It's very possible there is just water in the connector that's causing the problem and you could unplug it and dry it out. If the code reappears then replace the sensor.
