I got the code P1446 on my 2005 Nissan Xterra, what is the best way to fix the problem?

Generally when you have this code the repair is to replace the evap vent control valve. This valve doesn't move often and tends to rust up and not function properly. It is locate on the canister behind the inner fender on the left rear of the truck.It simply turns and pulls out of the canister, then the new one goes back in the reverse order.
