P144A emission error on 2009 Ford Escape.

Runs fine. Just has this code. It can be reset at auto part store, but comes back in a few weeks.

P144A Evaporative emission system purge vapor line restriced / blocked

The troubleshooting guide for this code is to check for block fuel vapor tube between the FTP (Fuel tank pressure ) sensor and the fuel tank, this happens to not be the problem it is more than likely the underhood purge valve line that is leaking,or stuck closed, For this vehicle there is a TSB about this situation that does apply to your vehicle, it invloves the emission canister. where inspection needs to be made for fuel getting trap in there.Or the purge valve is faulty. TSB #12-3-19
