how do i fix my 02 bmw that has broke down with a po-344 code

P0344 Camshaft position sensor

If this has codes up and will not start, the crank position sensor (CKP) will need to be replaced instead, When P0344 codes up this is for the camshaft sensor (CMP) rationality check for the inlet and outlet in alignment to the CKP. You can code a P0344 if the engine has a hard time starting or with a failed fuel pump.The CKP is more than likely the reason for the no start.The location of the CKP is near the starter.
