P0744 Nissan - titan

Question

The truck started spinning on ice and I had to add 2 quarts of transmission fluid. It has 237,000 miles on it. Now the truck is shifting fine, but it is showing the code P0744. Should I change the screen and transmission fluid or should I unhook my battery and see if the code stays off?

why did you have to add 2 quarts of fluid? it is over filled and probably that is causing the problem. I would drain and refill it to the correct amount with Matic S fluid drain and fill is about 3.5 quarts to 4.
