P1815 CADILLAC -

This morning when i awoke my check engine light came on. We had servere rain for the past three day and water began to leak form my windsheild last week. I made an appointment to get it fixed for next tuesday. Due to the check engine light I drove my 2004 cadillac cts 3.6 cyc, to autozone and what came back from the dianogtics was "The TCM detected that the TFP manual valve position reported D2 during and after engine start up" Probable Cause: 1) Open or short circuit condition. 2) Poor eletrical connection. 3) Dirt in the transmision valve body. 4) Faulty TFP valve position switch.

Any idea as to who I should bring my car to Transmision or a regular mechanic?

According to the code it's an issue with the range sensor. This could be repaired by a regular mechanic.
