2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer V6 shows codes P1515 and P1516

Question

The engine cranks but fails to start. The Check engine light is on, and the reduced power light is on. The code reader shows P1515 and P1516

P1515 Control module throttle actuator position

P1516 TAC (throttle actuator control ) reduced engine power mode

This code condition are usually do not cause a no start condition , turning off the the ignition and restarting the engine take you out of reduce power mode for a short time. These 2 codes can be a situation that is happening, A MAF (mass air flow) air duct tube that is not properly attached and secured will cause a reduce power mode,A engine that is overheating due to a faulty fan clutch can also set these code. For now if these are the only 2 codes that appear and you have a no start situation check and inspect the TAC harness wiggle the harness if it starts a throttle body assembly may be needed.
