will it hurt to unplug a part that goes to the airflow system and bolts on motor

I unplugged it and it started running great it has a miss with it pluged up will it hurt to drive it unplugged

When a MAF (mass airflow) fails a good way to troubleshoot this sensor is to disconnect it. if it starts and idles good, the MAF is faulty, You cannot drive this vehicle with a MAF completely unplugged it will affect the engine performance at higher engine load and speed.
