where is the step valve located in a 2008 rouge trans?

Question

The CVT belt came apart. replaced belt and one sensor. Now the trans starts out great but wont go past 3rd gear and throws a P1778. So could it be the step valve or something else?

just so you know Nissan has extended the CVT warranty to 10-year /120,000 mile

The part is inside the transmission but the issue may be caused by a bad TCM or bad valve body.

there is a service bulletin for code P1777 which is very similar to P1778
