P0131 Chevrolet -

Question

I used a scan tool on my 2000 chevy Tahoe it showed to have no codes, switched tool to pending codes and found a po131 code.The car runs at idle but when I push on the throttle the engine stumbles and dies.Any help would be appreciated.

Hi There,

P0131 is a code for the bank1 sensor 1. This is the first O2 sensor on the driver side of the engine. This code can cause some hesitation, however the 5.3 is known to have some intake manifold gasket leaks. With the engine running, spray some carb cleaner along the intake. If the idle speed increases or the idle smooths out, that indicates there is a vacuum leak.
