P0017 Mitsubishi -lancer 2010 what is this

I was told by mechanic that service engine light was on because and I quote " data scan FOE codes p0017, cor issue was PCM internal--update software to current industry standards". $160.00 late the very next day service engine light is back on. I looked up the code online and I see a potential camshaft issue???
