i understand this code means injector 6 short to ground how can this be fixed

There is no P1061 code 01 Saab 9-3 2.0 liter the car is 4 cyclinder engine you cant have injector 6 code the car only has 4 injectors.

Try to use a different OBD-II reader I dont think that one works with your car.
