P0562 Dodge - DODGE NITRO CODE LIGHT STILL ON?

error code P0562 appeared ..found code meaning and purchased a new battery...error code still on mechanic told me I needed to reset it? Dont know how to do that....

P0562 Battery voltage low

You also need to check the charging system a good battery will read above 12.5 volts and at idle with a good charging system the voltage will be 2 volts above battery voltage 14.00 volts. There is 2 ways the check engine light will go out if the system has no other fault detected and the condition is corrected, 2 ignition trip cycle what is refferred to as 2 drive cycle , and the use of a scan tool ,where the menu to erase DTC. is indicated.
