On a cold (-15) day the engine did not start and this code came up. Later that day when it had warmed up to about 0, got the engine to start after pumping the gas pedal while cranking the engine. The car then worked fine for a few days until it got very cold again, then the engine started but the car would only go about 5 MPH. After some starts and stops the problem when away; until the next very cold day. After getting the engine to start by pumping the gas pedal, the code came back on and after the driving the car for awhile the light went off. When it warmed up outside to about freezing hooked up a scan tool and found the code. Could not find anything wrong with it when it was warm. Is this a know problem? The car has about 75,000 miles on it. And P2101 was the only code on it.

There is probably carbon build up in the throttle body which is getting simi-frozen and not letting the throttle body open.

Try to clean the throttle body and do an idle air relearn.
