Loss of power climbing hills and towing.

Question

Random misfire code (P0300) and O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 (141). Loss of power climbing hills and towing. Other than that truck runs fine. After loss of power I decelerate for a moment then truck regains power. I have done fuel pressure check, changed plugs, wires, distributer cap, rotor, and fuel pump. I am lost and need this fixed! Not a single mechanic can nail it down.

Some of the causes of random misfire can be from the fuel pressure regulator, Check the oil, if it smell like raw fuel, the regulator will need replacement, If the fuel regulator is not suspected , a back pressure should be performed, A vacuum gauge would be a good tool to use, the symptom you have mimic that of a plugged exhaust or catalytic.
