2001 Subaru Forester timing belt broke and car just stopped-is there a possibility that I could just replace timing belt, tensioner, and water pump and she'd still drive?

once the timing belt is broken its possible the valves might have hit the piston and the valve are also bent.

you will also need to rebuilt cylinder heads, along with replacing water pump, tensioner, pulley and the belt.
