P0500 KIA -

Question

I have been having problems with random stalling, mostly when I am at a full stop. this has happened when I have had AC on, heat on or nothing on. One time the car stalled as I was braking but still moving about 5mph. Sometimes the car seems to buck when i am driving. This has been happening over the last 4 months or so. Just last week the check engine light came on with a p0500 diagnostic. My car is a 2004 KIA Optima with about 86,000 miles

P0500 vehicle speed sensor circuit malfunction

you can test/replace the vehicle speed sensor, if the sensor if not bad you may have wiring issues 

the sensor is on the transmission
