Car is sluggish,loosing power, and wasting gas.!

Question

I own a Nissan Altima 3.5 and check engine light is on. It has two codes.
1.P1800
2.P0102
My car is having rough accelerating problems it feels like the car wants to shut down and in some cases it does.

P0102- try to replace the air filter if it have not been replaced in 15k miles and clean the mass air flow sensor with mass air flow sensor cleaner. If that does not fix it the mass air flow sensor may need to be replaced if there is no wiring issue.

 

Possible causes

- Faulty mass air flow sensor

- Intake air leaks

- Dirty mass air flow sensor

- Dirty mass air filter

- Mass air flow sensor harness is open or shorted

- Mass air flow sensor circuit poor electrical connection

 

P1800 is for the VIAS (variable intake air system control solenoid valve )

check to see if there are any broken hoses near the intake manifold or near the solenoid valve
